"Our group of 3 retired fisherman spent a couple of days fishing Council Grove lake and this home was a perfect resting spot. Very close to downtown and what made it great was parking our boat in the driveway and we had power to charge our batteries. The home was very clean and the beds were all comfortable. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Will always stay here when in town again if available!"

"Felt like going home each time I entered the door with its full-use kitchen, bedrooms and baths. Having the W/D was also a plus, as was the use of the garage in KS weather. Couldn't be happier and will hope this unit is always available when I visit my daughter and son-in-law in Emporia. Wait--the only thing I might suggest would be scent-free trash bags for those of us with sensitive allergies to strong aromas. Thank you for a great place!"

"Steve's house was really perfect for me and it's location to the Champion's Landing disc golf course was so convenient - and actually convenient to get downtown and around Emporia was really good. House was clean and a great size and felt very comfortable as well as the neighborhood/surrounding area. Steve also was quick to respond and helpful. Would stay again!"

"This house is perfect as a place to host a family gathering. The kitchen is perfectly appointed and well-stocked, the towels are plush, the bedding is great, and every need is thought of in advance. I have stayed in many rentals and this host put so much thought into what renters might need: earplugs, extra toilet-paper, clearly marked trash and recycling, etc. WONDERFUL"

"House was very clean! The hosts left us some nice chocolates from a local establishment, which is a very nice touch. Communication was easy and hosts very responsive. They were kind enough to contact us before our stay to let us know about the train being close as it seemed to have bothered a previous guest. The trains do come thru often. I could hear them quite well when I was awake. They never woke any of my family members up. (Maybe we were exhausted? Or just old? Lol) The town of Emporia is...

"Our family stayed here a year ago and had a great experience. This is one of the nicest VRBOS that we have stayed at. Cute decor, well stocked kitchen, great outdoor space, and comfy beds. The only con is parking if your group has several vehicles. However parking is available across the street. Jeremy is very accommodating and answers questions promptly. We would definitely book again."

"I hate to gush about this property, Council Grove, and Lindsey ... just because I want to be able to stay here again! Beautifully decorated and incredibly clean and comfortable. A short walk to the fantastic Riverbank Brewery and Hays House Restaurant, as well as other great food options and shopping. Short drive to Manhattan and Kansas State. Can't beat it!"
