"A very well-appointed property which catered very well for our extended family of 9, ages ranging from 1 to 75. There was ample space for us not to be under each others' feet and enough bathrooms for each family (and a teenage granddaughter!). The outdoor facilities were excellent including the summer kitchen/ barbecue area, the variety of games equipment and (especially) the fabulous swimming pool.There is ample shade around the property for those extremely hot southern French days.Access to the mountains is very easy and they can be seen clearly from the surrounding area.The hosts, Mary-Jo and John are excellent and helpful without being intrusive.As a very rural area car is, of course essential, and shops are a 1- - 15 minute drive away; the baker in St Marcet is, however, worth the morning drive for excellent bread and pastries!.We strongly recommend Chateau Floran"

"We had a great time at the property and was a great bass to explore the area. We drove to Carcassonne which is well worth the drive, we also visited the prehistoric parc which is a lovely drive. Bossot was also worth the drive with stunning views and also visited the zoo. St Girons market on saturdays is again worth a visit, Azir caves and the reptile centre which is probably less than an hour away again is worth the visit. Thank you from all of us "

"This property was well worth the 30 hour travel time to marvel in its sophisticated charm and comfort!!! The property it self is majestic!!! Wonderful gardens!!! Elegant swimming pool!!! Very clean surroundings!! Well equipped kitchen. And delicious breakfast. The Housemade yogurt was my favorite!! We were there for a wedding at another location with 30 guests from the United States. We decided to skip a dinner with the group and had Clement, the host, cook for us!! Being a chef myself for 30+ years, what an INCREDIBLE experience!!! ALL fresh from local farms within 3 miles!!! Alfresco dinning by the pool!!! I won't give it 5 stars. I WILL, however give it ALL the stars in the universe!! A M U S T stay!!! Thank you Clement and your beautiful wife for making our experience absolutely wonderful!!!"
