Wonderful home close to beaches and intercoastal!

The Island House offers you the perfect Florida getaway where you are walking distance to the beaches, fine and casual dining, shopping, and so much more! The home itself boasts smart TVs, WiFi, beach gear, and beach wagons to get it there for you! The kitchen has everything you may need to cook the family meals, and the spacious patios are the perfect spot to enjoy those meals and a cool drink.
Just a quick drive takes you to the historic district, where you can visit the Castillo de San Marcos, our perfectly preserved Spanish fort, where you can watch reenactors show you what life was like hundreds of years ago. Then wander the cobbled steps of Saint George Street, where you can visit dozens of restaurants and hundreds of shops to find that perfect memento of your trip here.
Nearby attractions include Marineland, just a few miles South of the home, and The Saint Augustine Ampitheater just North, where you can catch some amazing live musical acts, or the Saturday farmers market until 2pm.
Further North is the world famous Alligator farm, where you can check out the gator feedings, the exotic bird rookery, or zip-line above the park.
Your hosts can also provide you with references for outstanding local businesses to make your visit truly memorable, such as charter fishing, e-bike rentals, massage and spa services, and much more!
The downstairs living area and bedroom are separated from the upstairs, and accessed via outside stairs.

Perfect Island Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house made the best vacation! It’s literally a two minute walk to the beach and you can stop at the convenience store on the corner to get your coffee or fill your ice cooler. Even if you sleep in and want to watch the sunrise, you still have time to get to the beach at the last minute, it so close. The upper porches have a cross breeze from the ocean that is just amazing! The lower area is great for family, gatherings and bonfires and making s’mores and hotdogs. We definitely will be coming back every year ! Very clean and family friendly as well as pet friendly. Highly recommend this rental.

Close the beach and dog friendly

The best part of this rental is the proximity to the beach, made for amazing morning beach walks and evening beach drives. The outdoor space is also very nice with the fire pit, hammock and porch. We very much appreciated being able to bring our dog which was one of the main reasons for choosing this rental. I did not realize this property was two separate units - one upstairs with 2 bedrooms and a bath, and one down stairs more of a studio with a bath. The property description should be more clear about this. This also wasn't the most clean and comfortable property we've stayed in. Definitely needs a deep clean upstairs and I'd suggest more comfortable beds and seating. And while the kitchen is technically fully stocked, I did not feel comfortable using such dated cookware and utensils (lots of teflon and melted plastic).
