"The Red Lion is a property steeped in history and it is hard to create modern standards in such an old building. That being said, everything was clean and tidy and the service was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend it to friends "

"We stayed at The Dundas when attending a wedding nearby, and it was just lovely. Wonderful staff, super friendly. Our room was great, the bed was so comfortable and I didn’t want to get out of it! Beautiful surroundings by the canal, we had a lovely private patio out to the water. Hoping to return for lunch in warmer weather!"

"If you are looking for quintessential English charm you'll find it here. Such a stunning property. The rooms were very well done and although they are in a very old building they are quite modern in their fit and finish. I can't write this review without mentioning the food. It was spectacular, probably the best food we ate on our entire 17 day vacation, big props to the chef. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity presents its self. The room was uncomfortably hot and the small amount the windows opened and fan were no use. Our shower was totally blocked but it was sorted. Cleanliness of the apartment was not to my standard. "
