"Hotel staff gave us a bigger room without us asking which was very nice of him. I have no experience staying in other budget places in Hong Kong to say how it would compare. There was quite a few cockroaches when the lights first come on, but I suspect that might be normal in these big old buildings. They didnt bother us. Overall it was fine, area was great!"

"Zero signage outside the building, impossible to know where this place is. Had to go up and down the elevators 5 times with our 50 lb suitcases to finally find this place. the elevators were also confusing, you could only go down, and there were no markings on where to go or what floor was what. we finally got there, only to find it smelled terribly like smoke, there was no air conditioning, and the hallway was basically a utility closet. there was noone there when we arrived, noone in the...

"I liked the condition of the room and the toilet, building was also conveniently located just beside Jordan MTR and staff was helpful in allowing me to book an extra night when I rescheduled my flight to Hong Kong forward by one day. Main downside was there was only one working lift at the time of my stay and waiting time for the lift could be long "

"Room service (such as dusting and moping floor) is not daily. You see roaches here, there, and everywhere. Killed more than 10 roaches, sizes from tiny to small to medium. No big flying ones. Location is great. MTR station is downstairs near the corner of street. Take out and sit in restaurants far and near. Lastly, I had problem with door lock but hotel owner sent repair staff to fix it pretty soon. I need to be taught how to close the door; otherwise, it may not be locked."

"Check-in was a terrible experience. Zero customer service, and the manager treats customers like criminals. The room's toilet was unusable without a toilet seat and would not flush properly. The room itself was not cleaned, and had broken floor tiles. The rooms are not well-maintained. The air conditioner did not work properly. The television did not work at all. "The owner was very kind and offered many good tips on hoe to get around, including a bus schedule for nearby stops, and a map of the surrounding areas and how to walk or arrive there. Once we found the drop off point, it was easy to see the signs pointing the way to the guesthouse. "

"Took a while to find as entrance actually on Shantung St off the corner of Sai YeungnChoi St, right next to the Sharetea. In the heart of Mongkok so very convenient. Was able to check in at 11pm by ringing the caretaker at the desk even though it says after hours check-in is not available. "5 room in each apartment with basic amenities and if just to sleep after a trip, then it is all right. Water dispenser and paper cups provided to share. One room air ventilation was noisy and not much space within the room for 3 persons or more luggages. Centre of activities within walking distance and also star ferry terminal and mtr nearby.
