"We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!"

"8 of us came here to celebrate a joint birthday over a long weekend. The house was gorgeous, clean,spacious, beautiful surroundings and of course the amazing hot tub! Not criticism but helpful to know if you're planning a visit- take extra towels with you. They do provide towels and bathrobes but no washing machine facility, so after a hot tub dip you have to use the same towel the next morning. They provided us with a cake, loaf of bread and butter, which was great, but not many other pantry...

"Booked & received no arrival instructions. Numerous attempts to contact owner but nothing. Drove 4 hours there and still nothing at checkin time. Spoke to VRBO who couldnt contact owner or find us a replacement. Advised us to find something ourselves which we did. However after they told us this they send an email saying cant book through a rival & only entitled to a refund for ONE night of the THREE we had paid for. No way. Couple of strong emails later and we got a full refund. Poor from start...

"We arrived at the property and called the person we had been advised to, to get the code for entry into the studio. She said she no.longer did the caretaking but knew who did, and she offered to call him and ask him to call us. He did, but we were not on his list of bookings. He would not budge and said we had been scammed. We therefore had no access to the property and had to go back home, a 56 mile journey having been denied access for our 3 day break. "Great little cottage in quiet locality, I'd say it's uber comfortable for 5 adults ( pull out bed for 6th isn't really usable other than snaffling the mattress & using in lounge... as we did). Cottage well equipped & everything clean. Local town great with nice pubs, co-op, chip shop. Short drive to great beaches. Lovely stay."

"The property was great and in a nice village. Local cafe at Manor House Farm is worth a visit as is the nearest pub Hare & Hounds. We visited Lincolnshire City centre which was lovely, the castle, cathedral and historic prison were all in walking distance once parked up in centre. We also visited a National trust Old Workhouse which was very interesting. Lots of things to do in Lincolnshire and well worth a visit."

"Just come back from a wonderful break. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic for exploring Lincolnshire, we enjoyed days out at tattershall water park, jubilee park, hired bikes and rode to Horncastle on the spa trail and the beach at Anderby Creek was really nice. "Loved staying here, it was a different experience to staying at a hotel, it was cosy and comfortable. Had a lovely patio area outside where we sat every morning with a cuppa tea, at night we enjoyed sitting under stars while watching films on our laptop. It was dog friendly and our cocker spaniel absolutely loved the stay, lots of beautiful walks around the site, people to meet and it’s less than 20 mins to Skegness for the beach.
