"Our arrival at the front door coincided with the manager walking out to switch on the central heating. No introductions were offered or made which left us feeling rather underwhelmed. Our room was exceptionally clean although a little tired and in need of some maintenance. The other house guests had booked through companies that specialise in walking tours and were provided with lunch packs each day. "We loved the surroundings, the calm, the amazing view and the dedicated staff. We enjoyed the wine tasting and the amazing building where it took place. Breakfast and diners were gourmet treats. La Quinta is close to Pinhao, were we took a boat to navigate through the Douro with the most relaxing time. The Museu Coa is in the area and worth visiting. Thgere are many more places to visit nearby."
