"We needed a New Year's escape to rest and reset after a busy year and this log cabin was exactly what we needed. We had a great stay from start to finish, enjoyed the beautiful garden surroundings, had a great pub lunch & enjoyed breakfast after checking out at the local bakery. Great hosts, great location, great cabin."

"The hut is in an off grid location. Perfect for a weekend away. Mandy had thought of everything for a comfortable stay. The hot tub is a great addition with amazing views. We had a slight issue on our last day where the hut ran out of gas but Mandy was kind to sort this. We would definitely recommend. "

"Our experience was perplexing from the start, with directions so inadequate that we had to ask the way. When we arrived I was attacked by geese at large in the grounds. Despite profuse apologies from the owner's wife, and the geese then confined to a wired pen, the owner said he wouldn't be lectured, walking away when I offered some advice on the facilities. There was no TV, no WiFi connection facilitated, no freezer compartment in the fridge, not even a teapot or breadbin. To compound our...

"Well equipped and very comfortable shepherd’s hut with a lot of attention to detail (the choice of bathroom and kitchen fittings and also small things like matching oven glove and tea towel) Set in a beautiful location with lovely views and lots of wildlife. Secluded location but easy to get to and we’ll placed for exploring the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley."

"I was really looking for a quiet weekend and the Edward Hotel provided just that. St John was an amazing host and had such great knowledge of the bus lines and how to get into the more touristy areas like the Cotswolds. Very helpful and accommodating. I thought the room was lovely. For a single room it was very spacious and clean. I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend. "

"A last minute booking at this small out of the way historic inn. It was busy at the bar where we checked in so a short wait. Room was basic but well appointed, bed super comfy, shower was hot, tea and coffee in room. Self serve continental breakfast in a dining room was great. Food in the restaurant was amazing and beautifully presented. Set in a small town with adjoining farmland. Close the Hampton Court Castle and gardens."
