"We had a splendid stay. The house was just as described. All amenities described were provided. The owner, Filipe, is very responsive and helpful with any questions. We had no issues. We enjoyed the peacefulness yet close to town. As for the driveway from precious comments, yes it is steep, but we had no issues at all! We followed Felipe’s advice and we were fine."

"A truly relaxing property. Huge, beautiful gardens provided the most serene setting for sitting out under the olive trees. A large pool where you could really get your laps in and lemon and lime trees with an abundance of fruit to pick. The house was very traditional. Lots of space and a very quirky ground floor. The pictures on Vrbo don't do it justice. The hosts made us very welcome and were very flexible with checking in early. Response times were great as we got a bit lost trying to find the...

"Lovely clean property and owners went out of their way to welcome us and help make our holiday special. Great setting in view of the sea in an unspoilt part of Portugal. Only a short drive to the city delights of Porto (I recommend parking in Matosinhos and catching public transport or the hop-on buses) and Viana do Castelo worth a visit."

Por la noche refresca bastante A tener en cuenta el ruido de la carretera pegada a la casa, muy transitada, y los ladridos de los perros de las casas de la zona toda la noche... "This is a fabulous home - so cosy and welcoming. Very well equipped, quiet and peaceful. The pool is heated and a really good size my kids loved it. Fruit trees all round the garden - it’s so lush and lovely. A 5 minute walk to the river bridge, a half hour walk to Praia de Antas where there are miles of golden sand. Would highly recommend - though would rather keep this a secret to ourselves. :)"

"We had a great stay at the Pool House. Easy to find with Google Maps, our arrival was painless. Carlos, and his father, were welcoming and helpful. The house is comfortable and had all we needed. The pool was great. Ten minute walk into the local village: supermarket, pharmacy, bars. Twenty minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean. Great place from which to explore northern Portugal. We enjoyed our time there. Easily recommended."
