"Although it is an older building, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it is close to everything. Just a short walk over the boardwalk to the beach, areas to rinse off the sand and anice pool available to those who stay here. Our little Yorkie felt welcomed, too."

"We all loved the place. Was clean and comfy. Easy access to the beach and pool. Very friendly staff. If enjoy fishing can go right out back to the dock and fish in the sound. Loved it. Only thing we noticed was the lamp on the end table didn't work. Looks like the switch is broken and needs fixing or replaced The place is decorated beautiful!! Will stay there again!"

"The view was the selling point of this rental. It is located next to a busy road/bridge which made was loud. Also some minor things like the back door is poorly installed and it made a very loud humming sounds with wind (sounded like a jack hammer). Also some mold issues which I understand is high risk given its proximity to the water. Overall it was clean, spacious and the set up was very family friendly. "

"Loved being waterside! Swansboro is a cute town. We watched an impressive concert in the town square on Sunday evening. Emerald Isle beach had adequate parking. Beaufort was also a good stop. Carla was a great resource of things to do on what turned out to be a very rainy vacation"

"The owners were so welcoming and gracious in allowing us to use just about anything at the house . Galin even met us when we arrived and helped my husband get our boat into the water and also helped load it up when we left (which is great since I, the wife, know how to help with zero of its). They were the most thoughtful out of anyone we have ever rented from. The pictures do not even do the place justice. It is even prettier in person. They even have zip lock bags full of ice in the freezer...

The hosts were prompt and thorough in their communication and even left a little birthday card for my son when I communicated that this was his birthday trip. "My wife and I had a great stay over a long weekend. The unit was well-appointed and met every need - very clean, nicely decorated. "We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Emerald Mermaid. It was a great location for us as my husband’s family had a beach house rented not far away but there wasn’t space for us and this space was perfect for 2 to go hang out with them and then come back to peace and quiet. I wish Emerald Isle was only 6-8 hours away instead of a 17 hr drive because I’d be back every year."

"The suite was super cute and had all sorts of ways to maximize relaxation - hot tub, gas fire pit, and porch loungers outside and a cozy couch and comfortable bed inside. There were plenty of thoughtful and complimentary amenities from warm cookies upon arrival to snacks, toiletries and a decent blowdryer. The bikes and golf cart were also very easy to reserve and fun to use. I hadn't rode a bike in years and the neighborhood was nice to bike through...we even saw an egret fly past someone's...

"We would stay here again. It is a duplex turned into 4 rentals, but it was roomy enough for 6 people and 2 dogs. The A/C was ice cold and had a separate air conditioner for each bedroom and living space. The location is great - only about 20 feet from beach access and 0.6 mile walk to shopping and food. The host responded to texts quickly. The people we met were all so nice. This is a rental and city I want to visit again. "
