"This place was great. The manager helped us out on all aspects she is a 5 star host. She really went out of her way to help out. Apartment is super clean, had a chance to workout in the gym and run down and get an expresso in the morning. I highly recommend this place to anyone, it was great. "

Only complaints, as they may be important to some renters. 4th floor walkup is 80 stairs to unit. Could be too much for some. Would've thought there would be instant coffee. Some would want tea. It's not there. Otherwise a great stay. All in all, these are minor issues unless they are deal breakers for you. They weren't for us"

"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. There's a small supermarket that we didn't actually have to use, as we shopped out and about in the bigger towns. There is somewhere to get a coffee in the morning if you...

"Laura was a great host. The apartment is quite a challenge to find for the first time , she was on hand to guide us . She also spent a lot of time giving us tourist ideas of where to go and what to see , and with WhatsApp she was always on hand to answer questions. The apartment was delightful, perfect for 2 people with everything you could need in it ( UK people , remember to bring a power adaptor to convert from Euro style to UK ) . "The place had a great view but no sun on the deck (early October). The bed was a disappointment since it was a pullout sofa with 2 separate (very hard) beds. We did not realize we had to bring our own sheets and towels. Marcus arranges that we could walk to a ladies house and pay quite a bit of money to rent sheets for 3 days. (We used our beach towels and scarves instead). All instructions were in German so the pages of information sent was unreadable to us. We asked for English instructions...

We had dinners outside on the terrace with the most beautiful views of the lake and some of the days when we stayed in the town, we spent swimming at the dock, tanning in the lounge chairs, and there's a trail that starts nearby the church and leads all the way to the waterfall and bridge in the center of Nesso, where you can also swim! "We were on the 2nd floor but it was 52 steps up 4 flights of stairs. There were no remotes for the air conditioning, and the chairs in the sitting area were very rickety and uncomfortable. I did reach out to the property and heard back. They came by with supplies but we were leaving the next day. "
