The pool is made of stones and is refreshing , especially with a cocktail. We scheduled a couples massage with hot rocks and let the stress of the World melt away . "Had a really enjoyable week at the Blue Whale. Conroy helped us settle in with great communication along the way. We stayed in the Deluxe which had great space with two bedrooms and two baths. We booked Nigel, on the recommended list from BWV, as a hiking guide for a day. He was awesome, filled the day with just the right amount of hikes/sites, including a great spot for lunch. We would stay again. "

"This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way. The rooms are pretty basic and a little tired but have everything you need. It's convenient for the airport and river but there is no hiking near to the property. "
