5/5 - Excellent

Verified traveler

Didn’t plan to stop, but due to a lack of rental car services open on Sunday as advertised on the internet, decided to stop and see some sights. Saw the top 6 things to see, found it to be clean, educational, good food, friendly people

4/5 - Good

There are a few catholic churches. One of them is right in the center of Caen. You can go there by tram at the bus station. Others places need to have a car or to find bus routes and schedule. Information on transportation are poor.

2/5 - Disappointing

It did t impress us. Would skip it and stay in Deauville, Cambough or Trouville-sur-Mer

St. Pierre and the Caen Castle are very impressive.

Caen was a nice location with plenty to do and a great hub to access Normandy.

We only saw a small slice of Caen, but it didn’t make us want to see more. It felt like the Stockton of France. If we were to come this way again, we’d try staying in a different town.
