The road to the cabin is fully paved and has lots of fun twists and turns (you are climbing 1000 feet in elevation in just under a mile). Any 2-wheel drive vehicle will do fine. Excellent house and host
This is one of the best properties we have stayed in. The view is amazing. It feels like you are miles away but it is only about 10-15 min to the grocery store and Bryson and about 15-20 to the park.

Beautiful cabin, Amazing views
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Native Winds. The cabin is just as presented in the listing and pictures, but the view is definitely better in person! The cabin amenities were great and the owner was very responsive with questions. Highly recommended this cabin!

Beautiful cabin with an amazing location
This property was above and beyond what we expected. The views from each floor of the cabin were spectacular, and the wraparound porch was a beautiful spot to sip coffee and (during our stay) listen to the rain. The rooms were comfy and clean, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook. Location was excellent, only 15-20 minutes to Bryson City, and just a few minutes beyond that into the national park. If we stayed again, we would go ahead and splurge for a 4WD rental car, as our little rented sedan struggled a bit up the steep hills to the cabin. It was well worth the climb though!

On top of the mountain
My son and I had an amazing stay at Native Winds. We loved sitting out on the deck in the rocking chairs looking at the stars each night. We also enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after hiking all day. We appreciated all the “extras” at the home, snacks in the welcome basket, extra towels, throw blankets for chilly nights. Hope to stay here again when I come to visit my son who will be attending WCU in the fall.

Just WOW!
We had the most wonderful time staying at Native Winds cabin. It was the most peaceful, relaxing week for our family. We absolutely loved waking up to the view of the mountains from the master bedroom, hiking all day and finishing off the nights with s’mores and hot chocolate by the fire followed by a dip in the hot tub. The owners thought of everything and were easy to reach and communicate with. You won’t regret booking this cabin!

Our Little Cabin
We fell in love with the cabin so much that we started calling it our little cabin. (It just felt like home!) Four adults and one 4 year old all had enough space to move about with ease. There were games and toys for kids of any age to be on their own but can still keep an eye on them. We cooked and enjoyed a meal out on the deck. The View! The cabin is perfection to have coffee on the deck as you look over the valley with the sunrise. The campfire at night was fabulous for the cooler evening slow down and just enjoy catching up with friends. Our host Michelle was so easy going and prompt to get back with me. We love it so much we were discussing when we wanted to go back.
