"We enjoyed our stay at the Maid's Head, both for its well-appointed rooms and central location. We were a stone's throw from the cathedral, charming pubs, and restaurants, yet our room was blissfully quiet. My only complaint is that the website says the hotel offers "ample complimentary car parking on site," yet when we checked in, we were charged an additional £20. I expressed surprise at this, but as the reception clerk didn't yield, I figured I'd been mistaken. This took a bit of the shine off our otherwise pleasant stay. "

"A quirky b&b. Lovely inside and lots of thought has gone into the place by the owner. Very comfortable and relaxing place. Access 24/7 via coded door. Lovely settee area on ground floor with kitchen area. We had rooms 1. 4 and 6 for our group of 5 adults. Host superb. Nothing any hassle. Would go back. "
