"We had a very nice stay. It was quiet, peaceful and the forest was beautiful. We really enjoyed the fire pit. The cottage was spotless. It was close enough to downtown Cadillac restaurants when we wanted to eat out. The Cadillac area beaches were nice. This is a dog friendly cottage. I am allergic to dogs but had no allergies. We received helpful communication from the owners during our stay. We had a wonderful time! I highly recommend this cottage. "

There is no WiFi and the cell signal is weak, however this worked perfectly for them to have a nice disconnected weekend. They 100% would chose this place again. "Everything was perfect from start to finish. The hosts are great! Helpful, communicative, and made sure we knew all the things there were to do and see in the area. The cabin was wonderful, peaceful and relaxing. We did a winter rafting tour of the Pine through Pine River Paddlesports. Highly recommend! We take our pup everywhere with us and are grateful that Hawk’s Nest Kabin is dog friendly. We will definitely book again!"

The location was less than 30 minutes from Caberfae Peaks and Crystal Mountain, and also less than 30 minutes to Manistee for great restaurants. We had so much room to play games, cook, and relax. The elevator was really nice when we were bringing all of our gear in and out. The barndominium was also very clean and had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen.
