"You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Galle than this. One of the best places I’ve stayed in for a long time. I loved all the thoughtful touches of a cold juice when you arrive, flowers on the best and them putting on the ac before we arrived so we could arrive to a cool room. Free tea and coffee all day and the use of a fridge and freezer was amazing. Staff were also wonderful and very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. "

"Srimali's Residence has plenty of potential but it's the small things the owners need to look at. On the positive side, the rooms are big, as are the bathrooms, the location is fine, ten minutes walk to the beach and a couple of minutes to the bus stop into Galle, pleasant surroundings with the occasional monkey sighting and plenty of stripy squirrels. "It’s odd that the main concern here is asking travellers to pay for their stay the moment they arrive/walk back in to the property/constantly. Payment on check-put is the norm and it’s strange to continually stay in places like this in Sri Lanka where they’re just obsessed with money. We’re all going to pay you for our stays - that’s normal. Please just let us be here and enjoy and pay on departure - which is standard. "

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"We loved everything about this house and the marvelous staff. The house is set in a stunning garden with a spotless pool right on the beach at Gintota. The hpuae is beautifully appointed with 4 lovely bedrooms, a lounge, dining room and tv room. The staff were excerional and catered to all our needs.
