The first week was characterized by rain, rain, rain, but we needed rest, rest, rest, so we made a fire (it was actually chilly) and ventured out only for food. The area food choices are AWESOME! If you drew a 20 mile circle around the area, you’d be amazed at the quality of food choices available. We hiked in the area, visited Bushkill Falls, and met kind folks all over the area. "Our experience at Lake Wanoka Resort in the Poconos was absolutely amazing! The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway for my husbands birthday. It felt like a true home away from home. The peaceful setting, surrounded by nature, made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The resort grounds are amazing. The other campers were so friendly. There is also a restaurant on the resort and the staff are so nice. My husband and I connected with so many people and they made us feel like family. The food at the Resturant is really good and the bartender Seth is Excellent with drinks. I highly recommend this resort for couples, families, or anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the Poconos in a comfortable and welcoming place. We’ll definitely be back! "We’re a family of 16: 8 adults and 8 children ages 3-13. This is our 3rd summer to rent a house together. Everyone said that the Hilltop Farmhouse is the best house we have ever rented. The pool was the highlight and it was so nice to swim without the bright sun. The kitchen is amazing with a commercial grade refrigerator and a regular refrigerator. The living area is perfect for a large group with great seating for all. The sleeping arrangements were perfect and the beds very comfortable. The surrounding area is so nice. No one wanted to leave!! "
