Nice hotel but not very good location
There are two E-Suites in Belo Horizonte and I guess I chose the wrong one. The staff was wonderful, the rooms are comfortable (and large), and given that they have a kitchenette being close to a grocery store was great. However, the area is bereft of restaurant choices and while I was there, even the recommended close-by bar was closed. The other E-Suites are in Saravassi, an area with much more going on -- probably a much better choice, unfortunately. I'm sorry to have to be negative on this point as otherwise the stay was great

2nd stay, unfortunately going downhill
My second stay in this hotel. For some reason they have decided to stop using duvet covers, choosing instead to use a flat sheet. This decision unfortunately means that the duvets will be touched by many guests and is very unhygienic. I did ask for a duvet cover on arrival and one was only provided during the evening of the second night when I complained for a 3rd time. We stayed Saturday to Saturday. By the Thursday the cover had been removed by the cleaner and not replaced. These aren't blankets like in the USA, they are duvets like in Europe and do need covers. On top of this the cleaning was inconsistent on this trip, some days towels not replaced but taken, toiletries not replaced etc. The hotel has also made the decision to turn the roof pool area in to a night club three nights a week. The first night was very noisy as a result. If you want to enter the club you have to pay irrespective of being a guest of the hotel. This I don't have a big problem with, the fact it takes the hotel staff 48hrs to properly wash down the floors and tables however I do have a problem with, it's difficult to relax in a filthy pool area... To add insult to my stay, upon checkout I was presented with a bill for my breakfast because the hotel didn't have my details properly in their reservation system. That was rectified when I refused to pay it (the hotel is inclusive of breakfast). The breakfast isn't worth paying for. Will seriously think before staying here again.
