"The purpose of our visit was to attend the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival at Fontainebleau. Fontainebleau is an easy run from Poligny and definitely a place worth exploring. Beautiful countryside and a very relaxed atmosphere. The Gite was comfortable and we enjoyed meals outside in the courtyard under the beautiful ash tree. "As a group of 8 university students we stayed at the cottage for 8 nights. The cottage has everything you could need to make the visit all the more enjoyable and relaxing. From bed linen to kitchen utensils, we never once felt like we were missing something. The beds have a sponge mattress which isn't always to everyone's liking although following a long day of climbing, being able to just sink into that pillow is all the more comforting. The fragrant linden tree was in flower, and the red current bushes were full of edible berries. We had access to trail bikes, which we used to explore the countryside. The hosts were very kind and attentive."
