"We arrived a bit late due to traffic in Dublin and a delayed flight but had everything to check in sent before by John, the owner. "A great location and property to get away from it all. We did a few walks but mainly read books by the fire or outside and wound down. "

"We stayed a week at Carpenter's cottage. It was perfect as we were five minutes from Streedagh beach. The cottage has an electric shower which was just what we needed after enjoying the waves. "The house itself was great. Lots of room and comfortable. They location is on a small dirt road which made it a bit awkward. The problem came with the heat. Had a cold week , low to mid 40s and the house inside wss set at 17.. about 63 degrees. We asked about raisi t the heat heat the answer was no. Heat is controled by owner. So we spent our evenings in sweater and jacket. Felt untrusted. We left several days early"

Ballina Manor Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed for 8 days so a much longer stay than usual. The staff are lovely including Reception, housekeeping and breakfast room. We had a lovely room at the end of the corridor so we were rarely disturbed. Enjoyed the breakfast done to order. The car park can be tricky as there aren’t a long of spaces but the overflow suits us fine too. Environmentally, we bring our own toiletries so do not use the complimentary packs apart from a bar of soap. Towels replaced daily so it would be good to know where to keep towels if you don’t want them replaced. "
