CONVENIENT LOCATION

3 Minutes to downtown and 5 minutes to Acropolis by metro from Ampelokipi Metro Station. This station is within walking distance from the apartment. Also walking distance of 5 minutes to bus stop in order to take the bus to Rafina Harbour/ferry boats reaching some of the Cycladic Islands! Many bus stops to all directions in Athens and suburbs are very close to the apartment. Also bus to green line of subway station is close by. Then from Victoria train station you can take the green line towards Piraeus and get off at the last stop. From there you will take the ferry boat or flying dolphin to the beautiful islands of Aegina, Poros, Hydra, Spetses and to Cycladic islands.

The apartment is located within walking distance to downtown, National Archaeological Museum, Music Hall (Megaron Mousikis), Lycabettus Hill, Byzantine Museum, Benaki Museum, Cycladic Art Museum, Theoharakis Foundation-Gallery, National Library, University, Academy and the Kolonaki area that is a popular shopping district and full of restaurants and advanced bars. Easy access to public transit. Ampelokipi Metro station is close by (10 minutes walking distance). It takes 3 minutes to go to downtown by metro and 5 minutes to go to the Acropolis by metro.

Open air Green Market is held on Wednesdays from 7 am to 3 pm. It has served local vegetables and fruits, sea-food, flowers and clothes. It is located only 2 blocks away from the apartment.

- Photo ID and AFM (Tax Identification Number) are required for residents of Greece

TRANSPORTATION

1. From AIRPORT to APARTMENT: First you will buy your ticket from ticket booth. Take metro, blue line or 3 line towards Athens-downtown, get off at Ampelokipi metro station. You will buy your regular metro pass from the booth or the machines (separate machines for cash or credit card). You can walk if your luggage is light or take the blue bus A7 or B5 or yellow trolley-bus 18 or 19 towards Pedion Areos and get off at Hippocratus bus stop. Then you can walk 2 minutes to get to the apartment.

2. From APARTMENT to NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM:
From Hippocratus bus stop you will take the yellow trolley-bus 18 or 19 towards Pedion Areos and will get off at the last stop by the left side of the Museum. You can also go there on foot because it is a walking distance of 20 minutes. On the way back, you will take the same yellow trolley and will get off at Hippocratus bus stop on Alexandras Avenue.

3. From APARTMENT to DOWNTOWN:
A. You can go on foot in 20-25 minutes. Exit our building, turn left and go straight ahead. When you will reach the end of this street, you will be in the heart of Athens and by the National Library.
B. Or you can take the metro, blue line, 2nd level from Ampelokipi metro station and will get off in 3 minutes to Syntagma Square station (on the 3rd stop). From there you can go in 3 minutes to Plaka, in 5 minutes to major neoclassical Athens with National Library, University and Academy on Panepistimiou street.

4. From APARTMENT TO ACROPOLIS: After 4 minutes walking, you will take the blue bus 230 towards Acropolis from Alexandras Avenue and will get off at the last stop located across the entrance of the Acropolis.

5. From APARTMENT to SOUTH COASTAL ZONE/ONASSIS CULTURAL CENTER/NIARCHOS FOUNDATION-CULTURAL CENTER:
Take the blue bus from Hippocratus bus stop on Alexandras Avenue and towards Ampelokipi and get off at Ampelokipi Metro station (on 2nd stop) or you can walk. Then walk 3 minutes towards Ampelokipi and from Vasilissis Sophias Avenue (by the park), take the blue bus 550 towards Phaliro, and get off on Syggrou Avenue (for Onassis Center or Niarchos Foundation) or get off at the last stop in Phaliro (coastal zone). Then enter the Marina Flisvos area, enjoy a nice walk by the yachts and also enjoy the sea-food in one of the local restaurants.
