"Lots of attentive smiling staff, so well done on this. So much character. They have substantial conference and wedding capability so could be busy at times, was quiet whilw we were there. Superior bedroom excellent great space and other facilities good. Beautiful gardens, watch out for the 40 peacocks that live here! Breakfast delicious and restaurant food also good quality. Cost topish but not horrendously. Didnt use spa but they state a problem with water temp which is only 22 degrees apparently "

"Had a conference for the weekend and it was ideal to stay at the same place. The lunch options were good. The buildings/rooms are a little dated, and given the reason for my stay were fine. I wouldn't book to stay for a relaxing weekend where I'd be making more use of the room"

"Really nice 48 hours at Horwood House, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - we have a young child so we were keen to make sure that we got two rooms that were conjoining, which they dealt with superbly. The rooms were big and comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. Was great to get out and walk around on a beautiful day. The food was good, with prices being comparable to most hotel restaurants. Good, friendly service. The gym was a little disapointing - just a small room tucked away, but the pool and the spa facilities were great. Next time we visit the area, we'd re-book"
