Not what we expected
From the images on the website, this looks like a lovely rental property.
However, upon arrival we discovered there were several issues that made it impossible for us to stay. They are pet owners and one of the members of our party is highly allergic. We were arriving from different cities and didn't know about the allergy until we entered the property.
We immediately contacted the owner. She was somewhat responsive to our situation as we had to make other housing arrangements.
In addition, there were a number of structural and functional issues that were going to make it challenging for us to live in this space for our two week stay. These issues were not reflected in the images on the website.
It's important for renters to understand that if there is an issue with a rental property, the renter will have to negotiate directly with the owner who is not under any obligation to refund your payment once you have arrived.
Read the fine print, ask questions about the functionality of the property and understand the risk you assume in making a reservation.
