"I stayed in both the regular and the budget Ibis in Le Puy en Velay. Both were great. For the savings, I would probably stay in the budget Ibis again because it had everything I needed and it was right across from the train station. Both are convenient for touring the town or beginning the Camino."

"Great breakfast, and quiet room tucked away from the main building. It was a nice idea to have a courtyard as well and not be too far from restaurants. "

"The good points were the daily cleaning and bed-making service was good and I liked the cube storage. Also, reception gave us good recommendations for excellent French food. However, the first room we were assigned had not been cleaned and we found glass on the floor of the second room. The bathroom 'tiles' needed cleaning of the pretend grouting. We could not get an evening meal in the restaurant as it was only for a pre-booked group. There was no bottled water or kettle in the room. The mattresses are foam and killed my back. My first experience of an Ibis and not one I wish to repeat - I hate to think what the Budget Ibis is like."

"Between the eminences of Notre Dame and St Michael to south and north, and bars to east and west a few steps away. What more can be asked? Superb bedrooms finished with style, also evident in kitchen units and equipment. Unfortunately the kitchen and cooking facilities are barely adequate for two self catering for six days. Inevitably, if the four wonderful double bedrooms are occupied even making everyone a coffee would be impossible! The loos require some contortionist skills to enter, and the one next to the kitchen needs access to the kitchen sink for hand washing. Despite that, and poor cleaning details, this property will be memorable for its very positive attributes, and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. There will be very few better in this area!"

"We loved the gite, it was clean, everything was well catered for and it had a great setting. Michel and Martine were great hosts and left us to enjoy our holiday but were around if we needed them. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would recommend to friends to stay there and we would gladly go back. The rugby matches we saw in St Etienne were great, fantastic atmosphere and great to watch with people from so many different countries attending."
