Crocodilo Park is a kind of zoo working for animal protection. First family Balser took care of few crocodiles. Then police of environmental protection SEPRONA (Servicio de Protección de la Naturaleza de la Guardia Civil) have placed many other animals to their care. Some are under bad condition cause of neglegtion or even abuse. Nowadays there are many rescued animals for examble parrots, lizards, birds, monkeys, deers and many more.

The entrance fee is surprisingly low and the income goes to keep up the park and the animals.

We spent enjoyable half a day in the park. We saw crocodile show and two one day old crocodiles. Also we were able to touch one baby crocodile, it´s tummy was so soft. Please visit the park if you are in Gran Canaria.

Crocodilo Park situates near airport of Gran Canaria. Drive south the highway GC-1 about 14 km, turn right to GC-100 (Cruse de Arinaga)and then road GC-104. There is signs to guide. Park offers free transportation from nearby holiday resort Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles too. #TroveOnTuesday

"Pros: El anfitrión muy pendiente de nosotros para que la estancia fuera estupenda. La casa fue muy cómoda, y el pequeño patio muy placentero para descansar del día. La casa , muy completa, con todo lo que se puede necesitar, tanto a nivel cocina, baño, etc. Cons: No hubo nada que no me gustaría."

"N'hésitez pas à louer une voiture pour votre séjour si vous voulez louer à Arinaga ! En effet la petite ville est simpa mais on y a vite fait le tour. Les bus sont souvent en retard et le taxi n'est pas forcément une très bonne option si vous ètes 2 personnes. Le seul point négatif est l'absence de poubelles dans la copropriété."

"Pros: La casa US es una maravilla, es muy cómoda y tranquila. Tal como en las fotos. El apartamento tienes todas las comodidades que puedas necesitar. La terraza es ideal para desayunar y pasar la tarde leyendo incluos para cenar. Esta a pocos pasos de la avenida, de la playa y de restaurantes. Arinaga es un pueblo tranquilo que tiene todo lo que necestias. El acceso y la playa genial. En cuanto a la Iraya la anfitriona nos dejo las llaves en el cajetin y nos dio indicaciones claras y...

"I enjoyed the ocean view (and the sunsets) the most . As cleanliness goes, it was very clean, however there was limescale on the shower glass doors and a bit of mildew forming in the corners. Occasional cockroach appearance (due to climate) in the bathroom, but I put a few drops of clove oil (something i always carry with me) and haven’t seen any after that. The food quality was very reasonable with a wide variety to choose from. I was refused a late checkout but was offered use of a courtesy room for showering which was very helpful. Overall a good hotel. I would go back."

"Excellent hotel, second time here. Fantastic facilities, view from the Pool is amazing! Food fantastic, room modern and clean, staff are great and work very hard! Room cleaned daily. Glass lift from hotel down to Puerto Rico harbour and amadores beach is fab! Really recommend this hotel."
