"If you are planning a trip to the Barre or Montpelier area of Vermont, stay at Maplecroft Bed & Breakfast. Wonderful breakfasts, thoughtful amenities, comfortable bed (the pillows) all in a Victorian home complete with a Tower Room. "
"Bud was very hospitable and overall great! Externally, very aesthetic and inviting. The interior can definitely use some TLC, but it really also depends on your expectations. It’s a country house so don’t expect anything lavish or over the top. Another reviewer wrote that it’s like staying at grandma’s. Couldn’t agree more. If you like trendy and fancy, this is not the place. If you like rustic, quiet and low key- this will do the job. We enjoyed our stay. "

"Excellent breakfast! Sitting room available for guests was comfy with coffee/tea and delicious homemade cake. All very clean. Our room was small with little area for luggage. Hot/Cold water was reversed, but without my glasses on in the bathroom I couldn't read the script cap on the faucet. We ran the water for quite a while before we figured it out. Randy very knowledgeable about the area and a wealth of information on Stowe and environs. Would definitely stay here again."

"We have stayed at this hotel 3 times because we love the facility, the staff and all the amenities. We booked the executive king suite and it was spacious, well appointed, comfortable, and inviting with 3 TV's, 2 fireplaces, and lovely sitting areas and views. The bathroom was a dream. The luxury of soaking in a beautiful big bathtub while watching TV was great. The staff is professional and courteous. They also provide a very nice breakfast. This is by far my favorite hotel!"
"Wonderful-pics don't do it justice!! Our room was clean comfortable and close to anything we wanted to do Staff/owner very personable and informative about things we might want to do in the area-we were on a Harley so areas we wanted to visit were limited since we were tired Loved walking down to the creek for pics and then walking to a covered bridge and walking g up a biking /walking running paced path near the motel We did visit early fall Great to meet other people and just relax in the hot tub Very thankful we were encouraged by management and others to not go through the route through smugglers notch on the Harley-roads were wet and the Harley was loaded and we were advised it might be a little dangerous -disappointing, but rather be safe"
"Duncan made the difference from an ok stay to a Great Stay! Always available to take care of any need, make your stay a little better and provide lots of ideas about things to do in the area. So accommodating and friendly.
The bedding was fabulous, and our group agreed we never had a better night's sleep. We'll be back! Excited to see the improvements."
