"From our arrival and seeing Bill unloading wood for our stay and showing us around the property, and the things we will need to know to the beautiful rustic interior of the cottage and the view of the lake, with all the wild life, this was absolutely a amazing 9 days for us and our dogs. There was everything you would need in the cottage and the covered patio was a bonus especially when we had a couple days of rain, we could still sit outside. The view of the lake from the cottage is breathe taking with all the windows and the outdoor shower is unique and i even took a picture while showering of the lakeview lol. We saw lots of geese, ducks, a deer, even a bald Eagle with lots of dragonflies and hummingbirds around. The sandy beach was nice for our three dogs two who are 12 and need a gentle entry, it was shallow enough they could go in and get out deeper with ease. They loved playing fetch for hours in the water. There was many water toys for us and when our daughter and her boyfriend did a surprise visit for a day they got to use the kayaks and peddle boat . I hope we will be able to return again next Sept and continue for many years to come as our end of summer cottage vacation "

"I was out on a 3 night motorcycle tour of the Highlands. This motel was by far the cleanest and best kept of all the others. Everything you would expect from a quick stay and a well taken care of motel. "

"My family and 2 pups and enjoyed our stay at Moira Lakeside Cottage. It had everything we needed to enjoy such a great getaway. It was clean, quiet and the owner was a pleasure to speak with. "

"We had an amazing time! There were so many fishing spots close by, hunting was an option but we didn’t end up going, the hiking with my dog was so beautiful and even just walking around the property was so calming and pretty. We went into Madoc (25 minute drive that was also super scenic and pretty) to do local shopping and they had so many great little shops. The one ice cream place attached to the woodland parking lot had a dog friendly patio and they gave my pup a pup cone for free it was so cute! And their human ice cream was incredible! There was a huge park with the longest slides my kids have ever seen and waterpark was great. With scare park just down the main road past the woodland. As for the cabin itself, it was absolutely perfect! They had literally everything we could have needed. Jo and Bill had the place fully stocked with all things breakfast, a great amount of water and drinkable, local bread and butter tarts and when I say it was the best bread I’ve ever had I’m not exaggerating. It was so fluffy and I want more! The butter tarts were to die for!!! They even had some dog treat, poop bags and a cute little doggy towel for my pup and dog bowls ready to go when I got there. They had towels for all people there and for my pup. The thought that they’ve put into setting it up to be Just show up and vacation ready is incredible. They’ve gotten every detail covered right down to charcoal for the bbq and shampoo and body wash for the shower. I can’t rave enough!!!!"
