"This was by far and away the Best Hotel that I and my brother in law plus wives have ever stayed in for a short break. The food including evening meals were of a quality seen on Masterchef. The staff were so professional and made every effort to make our stay memorable, nothing was too much trouble. No I am not related to the owners but Fantastic is how I would explain this experience. "Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was well cooked and reasonable in price. Parking was safe and easy and th egrounds, which lead to a park and the beach are wonderful. Our dog was welcome with us and well looked after in the hotel - much more so than some 'dog friendly' hotels."

"Rooms were clean and very large. The hotels communal areas are grand and beautifully decorated but the corridors and rooms could do with refurbishment. The car park is a joke. Very expensive and not at all managed by the hotel depsite them owning and charging for it. People were parking over 2 bays and the hotels wouldnt do anything about it even though they had every guests number plate on check in. This created a bit if a bunfight for parking spaces and not the relaxing start to the trip we would like. The view was stunning and the drinks were reasonably priced. Silly things like not having any mayonaise let them down. Overall though we had a wonderful stay and i think the hotel is good value for what we paid. "

"Lovely friendly recetion staff. We stayed in a quiet ground floor room with our dog which was very large and had seaviews. We were close to entrance to garden and the bar/ restruant. Car parking is £9 per night. Breakfast is a buffet with good choice for £12.50 pp. They also do dog food. Location is great being few minutes from sea front and restruants. Town centre is about 15 minutes walk along the beach. Torquay is lovely but we also visited Paignton nearby which we found had more going on. There are lots of walks for dogs in and around the area. The hotel was great although a little tired. Backs onto a bowls club and crazy golf and gardens. "

"We had a great stay the staff were fab nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning to the Hotel again. The facilities were first class and attention to detail was exceptional"

"Ibis did not provide breakfast on day 1 and we had to go next door to the sister hotel Mercure. Following day Ibis was supposed to provide breakfast but when we went down tables hadn't been cleared and there was little food. We were told there was a problem with the kitchen and we had to go next door again to the Mercure. That night we went to the bar and it was covered in dirty glasses and the girl behind the bar was barely coping. They seem to have a shortage of staff or at the very least issues."
