"This was a very beautiful hotel in an amazing place. The vibe is luxurious but not pretentious. We encountered helpful staff that efficiently booked us last minute tours and transportation. We especially enjoyed the breakfast. It was a huge spread of delicious food. The room we had was sparkling clean and spacious. We enjoyed the large balcony. This hotel is outside the main city and old town area so you will have to use rideshare or other transportation methods to get around but it's not too far. The only other downside is that it is quite expensive but the rates do seem in line with what you get with this resort."
"The perfect stay - sea view balcony for morning coffee , just a few steps from the beach with huge parasols and sun loungers , beautiful clear sea , paddle boards available ."
"Beautiful new hotel (c.2021) with ocean views. The hotel is on a small peninsula so effectively sea-facing on three sides.
The lobby has real wow-factor with panoramic ocean view.
Rooms are large and nicely furnished. Extra pillows in the closet, good availability of power points, easily controlled lighting.
The restaurant is large and has indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast and dinner buffets are good quality. Lunch options were limited to pizza during my stay. But the quality was good.
There are two outdoor pools (plus the sea). There is a small indoor pool area.
The village is small and centres around the harbour, about 300 metres from the hotel. There are 5-6 cafes / restaurants here.
Parking is available on site at daily rates (at time of visit, EUR 10 uncovered or EUR 15 covered). Alternatively, a free car park is about 300 metres away."
"We really enjoyed our 4 nights and 5 day stay at this hotel the food was amazing we had the half board option and our 3 children enjoyed the selection of food every morning and every evening. The hotel is very well situated, it’s just perfect! with plenty of gorgeous views of the sea and such a lovely walk to the harbour one way then to the beach the other way. The reception, bar & restaurant staff were lovely and we can’t fault it we found it very relaxing stay after 4 days in split, just perfect! We would definitely recommend oh and the pool was perfect too very shallow so children could play safely too whilst parents sunbathe without a worry . We will definitely stay again!"
"The Bluesun Marina Hotel is just okay — and that’s being generous. If you’re expecting anything beyond the bare minimum, look elsewhere.
First, the name. There is no marina. We specifically booked here because we wanted a boat to pick us up at the hotel, only to find out the actual marina is a 15-minute walk away. That’s a significant misrepresentation.
The “sea view” rooms are equally misleading. Yes, the room faces the sea — but mature trees block almost the entire view. You’re paying for a view you can’t actually see.
The food situation is frustrating. Only breakfast and dinner are served, in a cafeteria-style dining hall that feels more like a college campus than a hotel. No room service at all. Want a soda in the afternoon? You can’t get one at the cafeteria. You have to trek through multiple buildings and take two elevators just to find a drink. And forget about bringing ice back to your room — no ice machines, no buckets, nothing.
The hotel itself is clean and functional, so it’s not a disaster. But the combination of misleading marketing (the name, the view) and the lack of basic hospitality conveniences (room service, accessible drinks, ice) made the stay genuinely disappointing.
If you’re looking for a no-frills place to sleep and don’t mind the inconveniences, fine. But don’t expect anything resembling a real resort experience — and definitely don’t expect a marina."
