"Fantastic location in a very picturesque setting with a lovely little river flowing across the bottom of the field. The Shepherds hut was spotless with home made cakes an eggs supplied by the owner. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the chemical toilet smell that seemed to linger around the hut and we had to burn a lavender candle (provided ) to take it away. Not sure if it is normal for it to smell strongly but looking at previous reviews , probably not. "

"If you are considering staying in one of these pods I highly recommend it. They are beautiful, spotlessly clean, cosy and warm in a lovely peaceful spot. The Brown Horse pub also does great food and a lovely breakfast!"

"We had a lovely week staying in Swallows Lodge. The beds and sofas were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was plenty of space for five of us, plus a large dog. Having two bathrooms and toilets was useful, and there was a clothes airer as well as an outside washing line. We were extremely lucky with the weather as it was warm and dry for the entire week, so we didn’t need to use the heating. There were plenty of heaters so I imagine it would be warm in colder weather. The views...

"Relaxing retreat in a good location. Pod was cosy, well equipped including items for dogs and decorated to an excellent standard. The Brown Horse Inn serves excellent food and allows dogs in the bar area. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend booking."

"You really get what you paid for. The location is just 10-15 mins drive away from bowness of Windermere so it’s really a good location. We were able to have a good time and rest as there was less noise as the environment was very peaceful. And to add up, the pod was so aesthetic yet modern. Would highly recommend!"
