"Great place to stay. Large spacious room and comfy large bed. Sana and his family are very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast plus we were treated to a Sri Lankan breakfast too. Sana took us on a morning excursion where we were treated to all the local wildlife, which was such an unexpected surprise. Would highly recommend stating here. Thankyou all."

"We loved our stay at The Otunna guest house. We were looked after in every way, nothing was too much trouble. Any activity we wanted to do or transport we needed could be arranged easily by staff. Breakfast was amazing!! Highly recommend a stay here while in Sigiria."

"The property is a newly built house, great design, very ill maintained. Smelly blankets, no bedsheet between the blanket and your body. Uncleaned rags in front of the bathroom. No tea-coffee and hot water kettle in the room, no water bottle in the room. I paid $43 for my stay, seems there are better options nearby at half the price."

"Location is good. Lots of ants and insects in the room. Host was welcoming. But be aware of food cost. Ask price before ordering. We order seafood dinner for three. He made combination of fish, calamari, tiny crabs and few shrimp and charged 50 dollars(water for drink). We paid as we did not ask before eating. Then he came back and ask 800 rupees for driver’s break fast. We paid. A minute later he came for driver’s accommodation cost. At that point we said, NO. We stayed 2 weeks in Sri Lanka....

"Danu's homestay is the real experience. 5 star service with many smiles. If your looking for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience, this is it. Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. The family are absolutely loving,kind and generous. Make sure you have dinner with them. One of the best meals I've had in Sri Lanka. Now for the suprise...

"This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food. "Stay was amazing at Gabaa! Friendly and available staff via WhatsApp, easy to order food to the room for all meals. The room was very clean and modestly stocked, which was perfect for a short stay. It was a short tuk or pick me call from local restaurants, and easy to book tours through the hotel. The cabins were super cute and felt like a nice escape! They allowed me to check out later to accommodate a spa reservation, and a bit later check out due to a tour running later than planned. Not too much for a hassle to update and arrange via WhatsApp. The food was good, did the job since the restaurants were a bit of a far walk on a rainy weekend, but delivery to the room was perfect and so easy. The adjoining spa was also AMAZING and I would highly recommend that as a "do not miss" aspect of the property. Would highly recommend a stay here and looking forward to coming back! "
