Our host Janice was very responsive and provided wonderful tips and recommendations. Ristorante Manitta is a must. There were many wonderful towns and sites to see within a two hour drive from the house."

"Our stay at the Piccolo Grand Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the charming old town of Pizzo, this boutique hotel perfectly blends modern comfort with authentic Italian character. They were warm, helpful, and always ready with great local recommendations — whether it was where to find the best tartufo gelato (hint: it’s nearby!) or the most scenic spots to watch the sunset. The room was stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with high-end touches — especially the rain shower and incredibly comfortable bed. We had a beautiful balcony with a small view of the sea. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a daily highlight. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs and cappuccinos with a view of the Calabrian coast — it’s the kind of morning that makes you want to stay forever. The location is perfect for exploring. Just a few steps from the main piazza, restaurants, cafes, and the historic castle, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. If you’re visiting southern Italy and want a boutique hotel that offers style, service, and soul — Piccolo Grand Hotel is the place. We can’t wait to return!"

"Leaking ceilings onto hallway carpeting. Booked in March for a Sept stay and was given an unacceptable room overlooking a roof when I inquired, they change us to at least a street view. Very hot rooms, was not able to control air-conditioning to be cooler, it was controlled by the front desk.🙄😵‍💫 I will say Patricia at the front desk was the most helpful of anyone at this hotel"

"We had such a wonderful stay at Luisa & Riccardo’s villa. It’s incredibly spacious, with so many inviting areas to relax and spend time together as a group. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped – we cooked dinner every night for a group of six and had absolutely everything we needed, from utensils and cutlery to not just one but two large fridges, which made storing food and drinks so easy.The villa also offers two convenient parking spaces, which is perfect if you’re traveling with more than one car. We especially appreciated the sense of space – we were three couples, and it never felt crowded. Everyone had their own room to unwind, yet we could also come together comfortably in the shared spaces.And the views are simply breathtaking – the sunsets were incredible and became a highlight of our stay. Sitting outside and watching the sky change colors was the perfect way to end each day.Thank you again both!! "

"We booked this hotel because Hotel.com stated it was 12 km from Stilo that we wanted to visit. In actual fact it is 38 km from Stilo . We could not spend the hour in travel to visit Stilo. The hotel is comfortable and the staff were excellent in providing help and information."
