"The property manager was not responsive to my messages requesting check-in information the morning of our check-in. I had to contact VRBO customer service for assistance. The villa was somewhat clean. There were cigarette butts in the widow sills that made the place stink. The views were nice. Although, 2 of the balconies in the photos were not accessible as the doors to them were locked. I also received no instructions for checkout. "The hotel is ideally situated with some great views from the rooftop bar. It has a contemporary feel and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in comfortable walking distance. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I'd like to make a special mention to both Andre and Bruno, who were great conversation from behind the bar. If I come back to Madeira, this will be my first choice. "
