"The staff at Moxy Hotel are lovely and I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. My room was clean and comfortable. The mattresses are quite firm. The hotel is right by a S and U Bahn station which is convenient for travelling into the centre and from the airport. When I stayed (Nov 2025) there are works being done right by the hotel, on the walk from the station. This didn’t disturb my sleep in any way, though it means you have to walk down a small, quiet, poorly lit path to get to the hotel, which can feel intimidating if arriving alone in the dark - although, there are many other hotel customers from Moxy and nearby hotels using the same route all the time so it felt safe. There aren’t a lot of food options in the area but the hotel does serve food and you are a couple S Bahn stops from the centre. Overall I really enjoyed my stay, as I do any time I’m in a Moxy Hotel, particularly the welcoming and caring approach from all hotel staff. "

"This place worked great for our stay. Although it’s outside the city center, the 10-minute walk to the metro made getting around very easy. There’s a grocery store, pastry shop, Greek restaurant, and beauty supply store just around the corner, which was very convenient. We usually eat breakfast and dinner in, so a slightly better stocked kitchen would have been helpful — a toaster and a sharp knife would make a big difference. The staff was kind and helpful, and we appreciated having laundry on the ground floor (5 washers and 5 dryers), though it costs 2 euros per wash and 2 euros per dry. The layout was spacious and comfortable overall. The bed was a bit firm for our taste, but the comforters were warm and cozy, and there was plenty of hot water. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay."

"I recently spent my holiday at a hotel near Berliner Tor in Hamburg, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location is one of the biggest advantages — just a short walk from the U-Bahn station, making it incredibly easy to reach the city center, the harbor, and other major attractions. Despite being well-connected, the area itself felt calm and safe. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely designed, with all the essentials provided. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after long days of sightseeing. The Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff at reception were helpful with directions and recommendations, and check-in/check-out went smoothly. Overall, I’d happily recommend staying near Berliner Tor in Hamburg for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and good value. I’d gladly stay again on my next trip to the city."

"The hotel is very comfortable, conveniently located within short 10 min walk of the U Bahn, and in a upscale walkable safe neighborhood. Service is very good. It was very busy when we visited in October, we had to wait to be seated at breakfast. They suggest „less crowded“ times, but seemed to be the same regardless. Exercise room has dumbbells, weight machine, elliptical and treadmill. All in excellent condition, but also popular. Overall, it’s a very good choice, just be prepared for the crowds. We would stay there again. "
