The apartment is walkable to dining and shopping. The street is steep and the nearby medievale hill town is steeper. While we loved walking up to the hill town everyday, we liked the variety of dining and shopping near the apartment."

"We selected Siena as our starting point for our hike on the via francigenia to Roma. This was a great property for us to acclimate to Italy. We had a bit of a walk to get down into the city but it was great to prep us for our long pilgrimage. We got see a Palio race and it was great time to be in Siena. The accommodations were spectacular. The weather was hot but the ceiling fans on high kept us cool at night and we slept well. Thanks for making our via francigenia starting point so wonderful. "

"Our family of 5 had a fantastic stay at The House of Swallows. Everything was just as described. Chiara was super welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The beds were really comfortable - perfect after a full day out and about. She also gave us some awesome local tips, including a biking tour that ended up being one of our favourite parts of the trip. Highly recommend!"

"We werden netjes ontvangen door de eigenaar. Hij spreekt goed Engels. Het appartement is heel netjes en ruim met twee badkamerspullen en heeft een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. We hebben een prima verblijf gehad. Een ritje naar Siena is maar 6km."
