"This was our 10th year at The Painted Pony Resort, our home away from home! Upon our arrival, the cleanliness of the house stood out! It was so clean. Someone had taken great care in getting it ready for us. It was our first time coming in November. We really enjoyed it and the lack of insects/spiders was nice! The house is so comfortable and just feels like home. We love walking the property as well as hiking in the mountains. Sky Islands is the perfect place for a family dinner and we often pop in after hiking for ice cream or a treat! We are already looking forward to next year’s trip. The beautiful and solitude is like no other place! "

"Peaceful place. Has everything you need. The bathroom is nice and roomy. Small place that does not feel small. Very clean. Well labeled with information. The remodeling is well done giving a feel of the past but with modern conveniences. Would definitely go back. Next time I will check the lunar calendar when the full moon occurs. It was a beautiful moon, but, nixed the star gazing! Lots of good history on display on the premises. It is an ideal place to stay if going to the Chiricahua Monument. "

"Love this place! Beautiful setting, quiet, peaceful. Lots of birds. House is lovely, fully furnished. Comfy bed, full kitchen. Easy access to Chiricahua, a must see. Johnny Ringo's grave is less than a mile away, check it out. Rob & Sharon are wonderful hosts! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and history. And great to talk to. Everything was great. We will definitely return!"
