The charming mountain village of Gröbming, located at 776 meters in the picturesque Ennstal (Styria) in the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region, is surrounded by the imposing mountain peaks of Stoderzinken and Kammspitze.
In winter, it makes a perfect base for winter sports enthusiasts: the ski lifts of the top ski area Hauser Kaibling are about a 10-minute drive away and offer direct access to the famous '4-Berge-Skischaukel' Schladming-Dachstein. Here, more than 123 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes, breathtaking panoramas up to above 2,000 meters and connections to the Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm ski areas await. You can also reach the lifts of the Galsterberg ski area, with 11 kilometers of runs, three fun routes and a spectacular 5 km-long toboggan run, in about 10 minutes.
In summer, Gröbming is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Austria's largest adventure park offers pure adrenaline, while the surroundings invite hiking, golf, tennis and mountain biking. The Planai cable car gets you to the Bikepark Schladming for challenging trails in no time. For relaxation and cooling down, there are the recreational lake in Irdning and the public swimming pool in Gröbming. The Grimming Therme in Bad Mitterndorf is highly recommended throughout the year.
