I’m writing to formally file a complaint regarding an extremely unsanitary and unacceptable experience at your hotel, and to request a full refund for our stay.
Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the hotel was not maintained to basic cleanliness standards. The hallways were visibly dirty, with accumulated hair and debris that appeared to have not been vacuumed in quite some time. The elevator floor was also filthy, which further added to our concern.
As we approached our room, we noticed peeling paint on multiple doors. Once inside, the room itself was in an appalling state. There was visible hair and dirt throughout the space, including inside the drawers and along the bathroom floor, where we also found sunflower seed shells—clear indicators that the room had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival.
We arrived very late, & when we attempted to speak with someone at the front desk, no staff could be located. That night, we were horrified to wake up & find bugs crawling across the bed & on our bodies. The following morning, cockroaches were present across the floor of our room.
Eventually, we were able to speak with a staff member who moved us to another room. Unfortunately, the second room also raised significant concerns. It emitted a strong, unpleasant odor—possibly mold—& the flooring was unstable and creaked loudly, with visible separation from the subfloor beneath.
