"My partner and I had a wonderful stay at The Fox and Hounds. A little haven just up the road from the bustle of Cardiff where we had a brilliant night seeing the Stereophonics. Adam and all staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive, very friendly locals and a brilliant taxi firm recommended who chauffeured us to and from the gig. An absolutely lovely little break away and we are looking forward to returning, concert or not. "

"For the price this place is excellent. You are paying the price of a hostel but you have your own room, a decent bathroom and tea making facilities. The hotel has seen better days, and if you want something swanky pay another £100 per night. Staff were helpful, room was clean, and location is spot on. "

Not going to claim it’s 5 stars but it met all my needs and the late night bar was perfect for a refreshing drink after getting back from the gig. "

"I was impressed with the lady who ran the hotel that night. She checked me in, instructed me where to park my car, advised where to get dinner because they didn't provide evening meals, served my drink in the bar, laid my table for my brought in take away dinner and then cleared up and still managed to do some cleaning. She made my evening very easy and pleasant. I couldn't ask for more. "
